IAL, as a data controller and data processor, is bound by the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We are registered on the Information Commissioner’s Office Register of Data Controllers under registration number Z9058854.

How we obtain information about you
We collect personal data about you when we first enter into a contract with you. This is generally done face to face in a meeting or by email or telephone. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and we do not process your information in any way other than specified in this notice.

- National Insurance number
- Unique Tax Reference (UTR)
- Telephone numbers (home, work and mobile)
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Copy of passport and/or driving licence
How we use the information we obtain
We may process your personal data for the purposes necessary for the performance of our contract with our clients. This may include processing your personal data where you are an employee, subcontractor, supplier or customer of our client. This will be done lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner.
The purpose and reasons for processing your personal data are:
- We process personal data necessarily in the performance of a contract which may involve providing a range of services where you may be a subcontractor, supplier or customer of our client.
- We are subject to a range of legal, regulatory and professional obligations. We need to maintain certain records to demonstrate compliance with our legal obligations.
We may also process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in accordance with this notice, where we are legally required or permitted to do so.
How long do we retain the information for
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected.
When assessing what retention period is appropriate for your personal data, we take into consideration:
- the requirements of our business and the services provided;
- any statutory or legal obligations;
- the purposes for which we originally collected the personal data;

Sharing and disclosing your information
We do not share or disclose your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement.
We also share your information with third parties. These include third-party service providers and other entities such as Integra Financial Solutions Limited who assist with financial planning matters and they act in the capacity of a processor on our behalf.
We may share your personal data with other third parties, for example in the context of the possible sale or restructuring of the business. We may also need to share your personal data with a regulator or to otherwise comply with the law.
All of our third-party service providers are required to take commercially reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your personal data. We only permit our third-party service providers to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
